DENVER — Denver Broncos Charities on Tuesday announced a $50,000 donation to the Colorado Restaurant Foundation, with $30,000 earmarked to benefit the Colorado Restaurant Winter Grant Fund.
This donation to the Winter Grant Fund is Denver Broncos Charities' second contribution to the Colorado Restaurant Foundation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The team's charitable arm donated $20,000 on Oct. 15 to the Colorado Restaurant Foundation's Angel Relief Fund, which assists restaurant and hospitality industry employees experiencing extraordinary hardship.
With local Colorado restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and dining restrictions, the Colorado Restaurant Winter Grant Fund invites individual restaurants across the state to apply for assistance. If selected, these grants can be used toward design, construction and applicable fees/supplies (ex: permit fees, tents, heaters) to implement new protocols for creatively adapting spaces for additional dining.
The Colorado Restaurant Foundation has provided "basic needs" grants to more than 3,400 restaurant and food and beverage hospitality workers and the need continues.
On Tuesday, the Broncos also announced the formation of their 'Broncos Business Boost' program, which encourages fans and the Colorado community to nominate deserving local businesses for a chance to win various prizes.
