The following story was written by Jude, a recent Children's Hospital Colorado Junior Reporter.
On September 4, 2024, I got the awesome opportunity to visit the Denver Broncos training facility in Centennial. One of the memorable experiences was that, as soon as we got out of our car walking towards the main entrance, one of the training balls landed in front of me on the parking lot. I picked it up and one guy came out for it. I was like WOW!!! At the main hall, I saw all their trophies and banners, walked through their workouts room, locker room, cafeteria, meeting rooms and finally, their training field. After the tour I got another big opportunity to interview Cody Barton, No. 55. These are some of the questions I asked him.
Me: Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Cody: My wife and I love going to Cabo.
Me: What's it like over there in Cabo?
Cody: It's one of the nicest places in Mexico.
Me: Which celebrity would you love to have lunch with?
Cody: Country singer Cody Johnson.
Me: What do you love most about football?
Cody: I love the camaraderie. You get to meet a lot of people from different walks of life just [like] I'm here talking to you as a musician right now. So it brings me all these connections.
Me: Who is your role model?
Cody: My father is my role model. He taught me hard work, discipline and they all paid off.
Me: Who is your super hero?
Cody: Superman.
Me: Do you play video games?
Cody: I actually don't play video games.
After the interview I got a bag full of goodies and souvenirs and Cody Barton #55 signed all of them for me. I am forever grateful for this wonderful opportunity to be with the Denver Broncos.
