ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos released nose tackle Ahtyba Rubin and placed offensive lineman Billy Turner on injured reserve Tuesday.
The team now has two roster spots available, but it has yet to announce any corresponding moves.
Turner saw his only action of the 2017 season on Sunday after Menelik Watson left with a calf injury. Turner later suffered a hand injury while blocking Jason Pierre-Paul.
He underwent successful surgery in Vail on Monday.
Turner appeared in three games with the Broncos in 2016.
Rubin joined the Broncos ahead of their Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He was active for the Broncos' previous two games and played 11 snaps on defense and special teams vs. New York.
If the Broncos choose not to replace Rubin along the defensive line, they could look for added depth at wide receiver or offensive tackle.
