ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday claimed wide receiver DeAndrew White off waivers (Houston) and signed defensive lineman DeQuinton Osborne, it was announced. The team waived/injured wide receiver Corey "Philly" Brown and defensive lineman Paul Boyette in corresponding transactions.
White (6-0, 195 pounds) is a fourth-year player from the University of Alabama who has appeared in six games (1 start) with San Francisco (2015) and Houston (2017). He has totaled three catches for 42 yards (14.0 avg.) in addition to returning six kickoffs for 142 yards (23.7 avg.) during his career.
A two-time BCS Champion with the Crimson Tide, White entered the NFL as a college free agent with the 49ers on May 5, 2015. He was born on Oct. 16, 1991, in Houston, and will wear No. 5.
Osborne (6-0, 300 pounds) is a rookie from Oklahoma State University who played 24 games (13 starts) with the school after transferring from Kilgore Junior College. He registered 56 tackles (38 solo), 9.5 sacks, one interception (27 yds.) and one fumble recovery during his two seasons with Cowboys.
An All-Big 12 Conference First Team selection in 2017, Osborne entered the NFL as a college free agent with Dallas on April 30, 2018. He was born on Nov. 24, 1994, in Grand Prairie, Texas, and will wear No. 78.
