ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos on Wednesday promoted safety Josh Bush to their 53-man roster and signed guard Jon Halapio to their practice squad, the team announced.

Bush (5-11, 205 pounds), who has competed on Denver's practice squad during the last four weeks, is a third-year player who appeared in 35 career games with the New York Jets from 2012-14 after being selected by the club in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft from Wake Forest University.

His career totals include 10 tackles (7 solo) and one forced fumble on defense in addition to 19 special-teams stops.

Halapio (6-3, 320 pounds) is a rookie from the University of Florida who competed with New England during the preseason after being selected by the club in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

A 43-game starter in college, Halapio was selected as a team captain for the Gators during his final two seasons.
