Biography

JONES AT A GLANCE:

• A fifth-year safety who has appeared in 54 career regular-season games (30 starts) for the Dolphins from 2020-23, recording 229 tackles (145 solo), eight sacks (78 yds.), three interceptions (48 yds.), nine passes defensed, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and eight special-teams stops.

• Made 16 appearances (6 starts) in 2023, totaling 46 tackles (35 solo), a career-high two interceptions (40 yds.), four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

• Started all seven games played, recording 49 tackles (26 solo), two sacks (30 yds.), three passes defensed and one forced fumble in 2022.

• In 2021, produced a career highs with 76 tackles (45 solo) and five sacks (39 yds.) along with one interception (8 yds.), one pass defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 15 games (13 starts).

• Played in all 16 games (4 starts) as a rookie in 2020, recording totals of 59 tackles (40 solo), one sack (9 yds.), one pass defensed and one forced fumble.

• Appeared in 47 games (35 starts) at the University of Texas, recording 233 tackles (175 solo), one sack (7 yds.), four interceptions (33 yds.), 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

• Earned honorable mention All-Big 12 as a junior in 2018 after starting 10 games and totaling 70 tackles (48 solo), two interceptions (26 yds.), three passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

• Attended Nacogdoches (Texas) High School, where he was an All-American as well as two-time all-state and all-district honoree.

• Signed by Denver as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2024

• Selected in the third-round (70th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft by Miami.
