Head Coach Sean Payton reemphasized Friday that following Nix's Phase 1 reps, Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson are expected to take Phase 2 and Phase 3 reps, respectively.

"I've said this before: Young and hungry can be dangerous," Head Coach Sean Payton said of his team. "I'm encouraged."

"We don't play Green Bay in the fall, so it's a nice time to test out your scheme and also test your players," Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph said.

The former Broncos linebacker and Super Bowl 50 champion has worked with Denver's linebackers during 2024 Training Camp powered by Ford.

"It's a three-hour game," Head Coach Sean Payton said. "[If you're] in a unique situation and if you handle it correctly, you give yourself a chance — and if you don't, then you end up probably on the losing end of some of those."

"Every one of us recognizes the significance of getting that position settled and having [someone at] that position who we feel like we can win with," Payton said Wednesday.

The former Denver safety returned to the Broncos for a week to work with the team's personnel staff during training camp in 2024. 

Head Coach Sean Payton said he would provide more details on the planned rotation on Thursday, but all three quarterbacks will have their own focus when the game arrives.

The Broncos' defense dialed up blitzes for much of Wednesday's practice, which gave the defense a chance to work on getting to the quarterback and provided the offense with an opportunity to respond to pressure.

"Tomorrow will be another day in pads, and you want to see improvement," Head Coach Sean Payton said.

Ahead of their preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts, the Broncos have released their initial unofficial depth chart for the 2024 season.

"I can't wait to get out there and show what I can do," said Franklin said of his first preseason opportunity.

As the Broncos returned to the practice field, their quarterbacks delivered a series of big plays.

"We just need to get a stop," said cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian of the defense's mentality. "We need to bow up. [We need to] make sure they don't get in the end zone."

Head Coach Sean Payton is looking to prioritize mental and physical strength on the 2024 roster.

"Look, the guy that jumped out was Josh Reynolds," Head Coach Sean Payton said after Wednesday's practice. "Shoot, he had three or four catches that were something else."

"I'm not sure of the timeline relative to surgery, but that's always tough to see and be a part of when you're at practice," Head Coach Sean Payton said. "It's one of the, sometimes, bitter realities of our game. He was having a real good camp."
