ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Defensive end Zach Allen and inside linebacker Justin Strnad did not practice on Friday, but Head Coach Sean Payton said their absences were "nothing significant."

Both players are expected to soon return to the field.

"Zach will be back," Payton said. "He's fine. That was a rest day for him."

Payton said Strnad had "a groin tweak" and that the team expects him to return to practice on Saturday.

Payton also noted that several players will have upcoming scheduled down days or rest days. The team managed the workload of running back Audric Estime during 11-on-11 action on Friday.

"Today was a down day for him just based on the [existing] injury," Payton said.

Safeties Caden Sterns and Brandon Jones and outside linebacker Nik Bonitto also did not practice on Friday, while defensive end John Franklin-Myers returned to the field.
