ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos Foundation has continued to show its support for the growth and success of high school football in Colorado.

In partnership with Daktronics, the foundation recently selected Simla High School in Simla, Colorado as the recipient of a brand-new scoreboard this past fall. Simla — which was one of four schools to host a Broncos High School Game of the Week this season — was identified as the school that could benefit the most from a new scoreboard.

The brand-new scoreboard was designed and built by Daktronics and installed on Oct. 31, 2024. Colorado-based Arrow Electronics — which provides components and engineering support to Daktronics — also contributed to the initiative.

"We are so humbled, honored and amazed that the Denver Broncos Foundation and Daktronics wanted to donate a new football scoreboard to replace our current one which was almost 30-years old," said David Guy, head football coach at Simla. "Football is a big deal to our Simla community, and the fact that the Broncos and Daktronics reached out to help us enrich the game-day experience for our community is truly special."

The high school scoreboard donation came after the Denver Broncos partnered with Daktronics prior to the 2023 season to make in-bowl video display improvements at Empower Field at Mile High. The improvements included adding to the south end-zone video board, making it the fifth largest and tallest main end-zone video display in professional football at the time of installation. Improvements were also made to the existing LED displays, north corner stadium boards, vomitory displays and main course displays.

The Denver Broncos Foundation and Daktronics will continue to work together to provide support for local high school football, as another school will be selected for a scoreboard donation in 2025. The school will be selected in the spring, with the installation scheduled for the summer before the start of the 2025 football season.
