DENVER --One seed, two seed, three seed, it doesn't matter to the Broncos.

"We're not worried about that," wide receiver Brandon Stokley said. "I've been a No. 1 seed and lost the first week. It doesn't matter what seed you are. Once you get in the playoffs, it's a new season. If you don't play a good football game that first time, you'll be done."

All three of the top seeds in the AFC playoffs are still possibilities for Denver with one week remaining in the regular season.

With a loss, Denver could slip to No. 3 and have to play in the Wild Card Round if New England wins against the Miami Dolphins. With a win, the Broncos are assured a first-round bye. A win coupled with a Houston Texans loss in Indianapolis against the Colts would give Denver home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

"It's great, but it doesn't change what we do at Dove Valley," linebacker Von Miller said. "We're going to take it one play at a time, get back in the lab on Wednesday and just keep on working."

The Broncos understand what's at stake next Sunday, but the last thing the team wants to do is scoreboard-watch. Last season, Denver fell to the Chiefs at home in the regular-season finale and had to look outside the building for help to make it to the playoffs.

This year, Denver wants to take care of its own business first and foremost.

"It's not about any other team that we're facing," linebacker Wesley Woodyard said. "It's about us and I think that's the mentality that we've approached these last few games (with). Ten wins in a row, we just have to keep on going and take it one week at a time. Our goal is to be the last team standing."

While Woodyard said next Sunday is more about the Broncos than the opponent, Miller understands the motivation that the Kansas City Chiefs could bring with them to Denver.

"We have a Chiefs team that is hungry for a win," Miller said. "They have a lot of pieces necessary to be a great team, too, so it's going to be a tough team, especially with them trying to spoil it for us. We're going to have to be on our Ps and Qs and take it one play at a time."

Cornerback Champ Bailey said the team needs to make sure it's on top of its game and not worry about what other clubs are doing.

But wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was willing to consider the possibility of the road to the Super Bowl going through Denver in the AFC.

"I'm all for it," Thomas said of the No. 1 seed. "If we just go out and win and do our thing, we'll see where we are at the end of the day."
