ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- A week after guard Louis Vasquez made the first Bronco appearance (No. 97) on the NFL's "Top 100 Players of 2014," newly acquired safety T.J. Ward came in at No. 82 last night.
Ward joined the NFL Network cast in studio to talk about his first career appearance on the list, which comes after he made his first Pro Bowl in his final year with the Browns.
"It will suffice," Ward said of his ranking. "'Til next year."
He also covered topics ranging from his NFL cousin, Raiders RB Maurice Jones-Drew, to the way he approaches big hits amid the NFL's emphasized rules promoting player safety.
"Just because we can't go above the shoulders, doesn't mean they don't fear us," Ward said. "You're still going to get hit regardless."
