DENVER — UCHealth and Denver Broncos fans set a Guinness World Records Achievement for most false mustaches worn at the same time in the same location during the two-minute warning of tonight's game against the New England Patriots.
In collaboration with Broncos partner UCHealth, false mustaches were handed out to fans in attendance to symbolize men's health awareness. The world record was the culmination of a month-long initiative in November to bring attention to men's health.
"Setting this new record was a lot of fun, but it also has a very important message," said UCHealth Chief Marketing Officer Manny Rodriguez. "Checkups with a primary care doctor and health screenings can improve men's health and even save lives by catching diseases in early stages. This is one of many ways UCHealth is focused on improving lives in the communities we serve."
An on-site adjudicator from Guinness World Records worked with nationally-recognized public accounting firm EKS&H LLP, to verify that the previous record (2,268 in Fairfield, Iowa, on July 26, 2013) was officially achieved.
During the month of November, the Broncos and UCHealth have shared information and tips on DenverBroncos.com/menshealth about health topics affecting men, including prostate and testicular cancer, heart health, exercise, nutrition, lung cancer screenings and the importance of annual checkups with a primary care physician.
