ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --The NFL's "Together We Make Football" contest has helped bring football fans from around the world together in sharing their own unique and special reasons for why they all love the same thing – the game of football.
While the submission period for sharing stories on TogetherWeMakeFootball.com has now closed, fans can still view and vote for stories from throughout the global community that capture the essence of why the game of football captivates and inspires so many people.
During the course of the contest, DenverBroncos.com has profiled a handful of submissions from Broncos fans who have submitted their stories about how Broncos football has impacted their lives.
Today, we'll take a look at another submission from Lisa, a diehard Broncos fan in Kansas City who – along with her six brothers – was raised by a single mother in a family of football fanatics.
In her video submission – which can be watched by clicking here – Lisa tells her football story through pictures and words, describing how her siblings grew up loving football, with a number of her brothers ultimately playing the sport.
Today, she notes that she is married to a Chiefs fan, but her passion for the Broncos has not wavered.
In addition to Lisa's story, we have also profiled stories from Broncos fans Erich, Joshua, Kevin and Bryan.
Erich described how he remembers his late mother through her love of the Broncos, as well as how Broncos football has helped bring him together with his sons during his battle with cancer. You can read Erich's story by clicking here.
Joshua – whose story can be read by clicking here – described how Peyton Manning uplifted his family in the wake of losing one of his sons, Jeffrey, to SIDS.
For Kevin – you can read his story by clicking here – football has remained a constant uplifting force in his life throughout his struggle with ALS.
Bryan – whose story can be read by clicking here – detailed how watching football and cheering for Peyton Manning has helped uplift his family throughout the struggles of his youngest son, who was diagnosed with serious heart defects.
Ultimately, from all the entries, 10 narratives will be selected and turned into short films produced by NFL Films – and five of the selected entrants will win a five-day VIP trip to Super Bowl XLVIII for themselves and two guests of their choosing.
