ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Phillip Lindsay has completed the weekly awards trifecta.
After winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday and FedEx Ground Player of the Week on Thursday, Lindsay was named the NFL rookie of the week on Friday.
It's the first such honor of Lindsay's career. He defeated 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis, Giants running back Saquon Barkley, Chargers safety Derwin James and Bills quarterback Josh Allen to win the award.
Lindsay ran for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns against the Bengals on Sunday, helping the Broncos to a 24-10 victory in Cincinnati. Lindsay leads the Broncos in rushing yards and touchdowns, and he ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards.
Week 13 represented Lindsay's sixth nomination for NFL rookie of the week. He is the first Broncos player to win the award since Tim Tebow in Week 16 of the 2010 season.
