ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos capped Day 2 of the NFL Draft by trading back into the third round for a defensive end.

With the 101st-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Broncos selected LSU defensive end Sai'vion Jones.

Denver traded the 111th, 130th and 191st picks in the draft for the 101st pick and the 134th pick.

"Getting the call from the Broncos, it just felt like every kid's dream that they've had since they were [young], just realizing that that one phone call right there just made my dream come true," Jones said. "It's just a blessing to be in the position that I am right now. I'm just ready to get to work."

A 6-foot-6, 283-pound player, Jones recorded 40 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two passes defensed in 2024.

A two-year starter, Jones recorded 43 pressures in 2024 after combining for 38 pressures over his first three seasons.

In 51 career games over four seasons, Jones tallied 99 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and five passes defensed. He finished his career at LSU with 27 consecutive starts.

The 21-year-old player joins a talented Denver defensive line that includes Zach Allen, D.J. Jones, John Franklin-Myers, Malcolm Roach and several other contributors.

"I feel like it's just going to be like a repeat of college," Jones said. "When I got into college here, they had a lot of vets ahead of me. I really spent my first year learning and soaking up from the veterans that were ahead of me. So I just have to do the same thing when I get down there, keep my head down, learn as much as I can from the vets and just work my way up."

Earlier Friday, the Broncos drafted running back RJ Harvey in the second round and wide receiver Pat Bryant in the third round. They selected cornerback Jahdae Barron in Round 1.
