Painter First Draft Pick to Sign

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Vinston Painter didn't waste any time officially becoming a Bronco.

On the day he first stepped into the team's Dove Valley practice facility for the team's rookie minicamp, Painter officially signed his rookie contract. He is the first of the team's seven draft picks to sign.

The Broncos chose Painter with the 173rd overall pick in the 2013 Draft out of Virginia Tech. With the Hokies, Painter played defensive tackle, offensive guard and offensive tackle.

He played 32 games during his four-year career and earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a senior.

Painter arrived in Denver with the rest of the team's rookie class today and spent the afternoon touring the Broncos' practice facility. The rookies attended administrative meetings, took physicals and were fitted with equipment.

The rookie class will take the field for the first time tomorrow to kickoff the three-day minicamp.
