Injury Report: Broncos 'not sure' of Phillip Lindsay's status for #DENvsPIT

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Running back Phillip Lindsay's status for Sunday may be in doubt.

Lindsay suffered a toe injury against the Titans and Head Coach Vic Fangio said on Wednesday that he was day to day. Fangio added that he was "not sure" of Lindsay's status for Week 2.

"We were happy with the results," Fangio said of Lindsay's tests this week. "It wasn't as bad as it could be."

Lindsay was among four Broncos on the team's active roster who did not practice Wednesday. Cornerback A.J. Bouye, safety Kareem Jackson and linebacker Mark Barron were also held out of the session as the Broncos began to prepare for Pittsburgh.

Fangio said Bouye would be out "a couple of weeks" and that the team would probably place him on injured reserve. Under new injured reserve regulations, players can return to the active roster after three weeks on IR. Bouye suffered his injury during the second quarter of Monday's game against the Titans while in coverage against Corey Davis.

Wide receiver Courtland Sutton returned to practice for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury on Sept. 10 and was expected to be limited. He caught passes during the early portion of the individual period. KJ Hamler was expected to be a full participant.

UPDATE [3:04 p.m. MT]: Garett Bolles (elbow), Tyrie Cleveland (hip), Trey Marshall (wrist) and Sutton were listed as limited on the team's official practice report. Bradley Chubb (knee), Albert Okwuegbunam (hip) and Hamler were full participants. Jackson's absence was not injury related.

UPDATE [4:07 p.m. MT]: The Broncos announced they have officially placed Bouye on IR.
