Injury Report: S Kareem Jackson to see increased workload during Thursday's practice

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After being limited in practice on Wednesday, safety Kareem Jackson will have an increased workload during Thursday's practice, Head Coach Vic Fangio said.

"Kareem looked OK," said Fangio when asked about Jackson's performance on Wednesday. "We're going to see him do some more today, see how he responds to that. I think we got what we were hoping for yesterday, but we're going to need to get a little bit more today and then hopefully on Friday, also."

Jackson missed the Broncos' Week 4 game against the Jaguars with a hamstring injury.

Tackle Ja'Wuan James practiced Wednesday in a limited capacity for the first time since suffering a knee injury against Oakland on Sept. 9.

"He started off OK," Fangio said. "I think he did about what we had hoped he would do. He's highly questionable whether he'll be ready this week."

Fangio said James will "maybe" be ready in time for a Week 6 game against Tennessee.

Linebacker Josey Jewell, who exited Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, is not expected to practice Thursday. He also missed Wednesday's session.

Jewell and cornerback Bryce Callahan were the only players on the active roster who were scheduled not to practice.

UPDATE [5:14 p.m.]: Jackson and James were limited again on Thursday. Jewell and Callahan did not practice.
