ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Safety Kareem Jackson did not practice Wednesday, and his status for Sunday's game against the Chargers could be in doubt.

"It could, yes," said Head Coach Vic Fangio when asked whether Jackson's injury could impact his game status. "It's the injury he had to miss a few plays with last week."

Fangio described Jackson's injury as a "neck, shoulder issue." He was listed with a neck injury on the team's official injury report.

Tackle Bobby Massie (ankle), running back Mike Boone (hip) and linebacker Baron Browning (back) all returned to practice as limited participants. Massie has not played since suffering an injury against the Cowboys in Week 9, while Boone suffered a hip injury in practice ahead of the Broncos' game against the Eagles.

Browning played a few snaps in Week 10 against the Eagles, but a back injury that hampered him in practice forced him out of the game.

Nose tackle Mike Purcell (thumb), running back Melvin Gordon III (shoulder) and safety Caden Sterns (shoulder) were full participants.

Purcell wore a cast against the Eagles, and Fangio said he would continue to wear it for "the next few, several weeks."

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb was not listed on the injury report, as he remains on injured reserve, but Fangio said Chubb "looked good" in Monday's practice.

"Hopefully he'll do a little bit more today and then [we'll] see where he's at," Fangio said before Wednesday's practice.

Denver can activate Chubb ahead of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers.

"He's healed, but he hasn't played and practiced in a long time, so when we decide to play him, we're going to make sure he's ready," Fangio said. "That will be a decision made between the medical people, himself and then me."
