Injury Report: Five Broncos ruled out of #DENvsKC

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have ruled five players out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Guard Ron Leary (concussion), defensive end DeMarcus Walker (ankle), wide receiver Juwann Winfree (hamstring), tackle Ja'Wuan James (knee) and defensive end Adam Gotsis (knee) were ruled out after not practicing on Friday.

James played the first half against the Texans — his third game appearance this season — before sitting out the second half. The Broncos had predetermined that James would play a limited number of snaps.

James then did not practice this week.

"I'm not really sure other than [it's] still bothering him some," Fangio said. "Don't have great details for you."

Defensive end Dre'Mont Jones (ankle), linebacker Joe Jones (back) and tight end Noah Fant (foot/hip) are listed as questionable.

Dre'Mont Jones was held out of practice all week, while Joe Jones was limited Wednesday before not practicing Thursday or Friday.

Fant was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday after not practicing Wednesday.

Fangio said Fant is progressing in the right direction and that he will "hopefully not" be limited if he plays vs. the Chiefs.

With the Broncos' injuries along the defensive line, Fangio said Jonathan Harris will be active for Sunday's game. Fangio said the Broncos may need to make another roster move, as well.

Von Miller, who was limited in earlier in the week, was not given a game status. That indicates that Miller is ready to play again on Sunday.
