ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — As the Broncos began their game-week preparations for the New York Giants, Head Coach Vic Fangio said he expected two of the team's key players to be ready for Sunday.
Fangio said he thought outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (ankle) and tight end Noah Fant (leg) would both be able to play in Week 1 and said the two players were progressing well in their rehab.
Both players participated in the team's stretching period, before Chubb left to work on a side field during the media-viewing portion of practice. Fant participated in individual drills for the first time since before the Broncos' game against the Seahawks on Aug. 21.
The rest of the Broncos' 53-man roster also practiced on Monday. Denver will release its first official practice report of the season on Wednesday.
