ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After left tackle Garett Bolles and cornerback Bryce Callahan left Sunday's game with injuries, Head Coach Vic Fangio said Monday morning that the team was still awaiting results of imaging tests to determine the severity for each player.

In the fourth quarter against Washington, Bolles suffered an ankle injury and Callahan sustained a knee injury that Fangio previously described as what looked to be a hyper-extension.

Should Bolles miss time, Fangio said he has "total confidence" in reserve tackle Calvin Anderson.

"I'm very confident in Calvin," Fangio said. "I think Calvin's a good offensive lineman, and we'll be able to operate with him in there."

Anderson has appeared in 24 games over the past two seasons, including two starts in 2020. He started at right tackle during a Week 10 game against Las Vegas and later started in Bolles' stead against the Panthers in Week 14. Through eight weeks in 2021, Anderson has filled in for Bolles on 13 snaps due to injuries; he played 10 snaps during Week 6 game against Las Vegas and three snaps during Sunday's game against Washington.

And in the event that Callahan may miss time, Fangio said the team may get reinforcements soon from 2020 third-round pick Michael Ojemudia and Essang Bassey. Fangio said they will "probably" return to practice this week and will be options for the team's depth at cornerback.

Bassey has been on the Broncos' Physically Unable to Perform list for the duration of 2021 after suffering a season-ending knee in Week 13 of the 2020 season. Ojemudia was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 1 after suffering a knee injury during the team's Aug. 22 preseason game against the Seahawks.
