Injury Report: A.J. Bouye in concussion protocol after #LACvsDEN

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After suffering a concussion in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Chargers, cornerback A.J. Bouye has entered the concussion protocol, Head Coach Vic Fangio said Monday.

Bouye played 70 snaps in his second game back from a shoulder injury before Kareem Jackson inadvertently landed a helmet-to-helmet hit on his teammate.

Two other Broncos also suffered injuries, as offensive lineman Patrick Morris sustained an arm injury on the last play of the game and tight end Nick Vannett suffered a foot injury. Both players were still being evaluated when Fangio spoke to the media on Monday.

Morris appeared to be twisted to the ground by a Chargers defender after the game-winning extra-point kick.

Fangio also said wide receiver Tim Patrick (hamstring) had a "better" chance of playing in Week 9 against the Falcons after missing Sunday's win.

"He was kind of close but really not," Fangio said. "Just with it being a hamstring, he'd go out there and maybe play a little while and then get up to full speed and have a setback. It was possible, but in my mind unless it looked really, really good, I wasn't going to play him."

Patrick was listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game.
