Editor's Note: This Q&A story ran in the Sept. 30 Gameday program, when the Broncos defeated the Oakland Raiders in Week 4.

What made you decide to come play for the Denver Broncos?
"When I came here, it just seemed like a really good fit. Obviously, when (quarterback) Peyton (Manning) came out, that changed a lot of things for the offense. Then I got the call about coming out for a visit. I met with the staff and just really thought it would be a good fit. I thought this was going to be a really good football team that I wanted to be a part of."

Have you enjoyed the city of Denver?
"I love the city. I love it. Everything. I can't tell you how many people when I was coming out here told me how much they loved it out here. People that I didn't even know lived in Denver at any point in their life, and I found it to be true. It's been great."

What did it feel like to catch a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of your first game as a Bronco?
"It was an awesome feeling to start off as a Bronco with a chance to help us take the lead there in the fourth quarter. That was definitely a sweet way for me to start off. Hopefully, we'll get some more of those."

Have you enjoyed reconnecting with Manning?
"He's a special player. It's a deal where, for me, I consider this a really special opportunity. To get to come be a part of this football team, first of all, and secondly to get to play with a guy like him at the quarterback position, it's been a heck of a lot of fun. Hopefully, as long as we keep putting some wins on the board, we'll keep having fun."

During the offseason, you and fellow Broncos tight end Joel Dreessen were added to the roster at the same time. When did you two first speak about the opportunity?
"Pretty much immediately, we contacted each other and said this is a deal where we expect to go win as a team. For a lot of guys in free agency, it's all about trying to get a chance for them to do something. Hopefully, we can both do things. Even as an offense, we have multiple guys that can do things. Whatever that combination is on a given day to help us win the game, I think everyone is bought into doing that. When we first contacted each other, it was cool. We were excited and we're still looking forward to continuing to get better. We'll see what we can do out there."

You played against two of Denver's 2012 opponents - Houston and New England - often with the Colts. Can that hindsight be helpful in preparing for the matchups?
"It's just little tidbits about guys, what they like to do, what they don't like to do, that type of thing. At the end of the day, it's going to about going out there on Sunday and executing. It's not about insider information or any of that. Obviously knowing (the opponent) well is helpful."

What has been your impression of the Broncos' fan base since you've been in Denver?
"This has been incredible. Going back to the Pittsburgh game, and even in training camp and the preseason, it's just been incredible. The support has been awesome. Hopefully we can keep getting those wins, certainly at home, to keep the folks fired up. They've been awesome."
