ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — With the final pick of the sixth round, the Broncos have added a punter to their roster.
Denver selected punter Jeremy Crawshaw with the 216th-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Broncos traded down from No. 197 to acquire picks No. 216 and No. 241 from the Houston Texans.
In his final season at Florida, Crawshaw averaged 45.7 yards per punt and had 25 of his 59 punts fall within the 20-yard line.
Crawshaw was a second-team All-SEC player as he averaged 48.9 yards per punt in 2023 and participated in the Senior Bowl in 2024.
In his career, Crawshaw averaged 46.4 yards per punt on 190 punts.
"I had a fair amount [of contact] with [Special Teams Coordinator Darren] Rizzi," Crawshaw said of his pre-draft conversations with the Broncos. "I spoke to him a couple of times on the phone. He came out to my Pro Day and worked pretty intently with me. Then I got to have a couple of lunches with him as well. I've spoken to him a little bit over this process, and it's been really good for me."
He was the first punter to be drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was the top punter on The Athletic's list of draft prospects. The Broncos had not drafted a punter since 2016, when they selected Riley Dixon.
"[My] expectations were to be drafted," Crawshaw said. "[I'm] very confident in the abilities and what I've put on tape to show teams. I know that I'll be a good addition for the team anywhere that I went."
Earlier this offseason, the Broncos signed punter Matt Haack in free agency.
"Coming in, I'm excited to just compete [and] go against some other people with great talent," Crawshaw said. "Matt Haack has already been in the league for a long time, and I've watched a lot of film on him. I'm kind of just looking forward to competing. It will just be a bit of fun."
In their other selection on Saturday, the Broncos drafted outside linebacker Que Robinson.
