That’s a wrap: The 2019 NFL All-Rookie Team (Dane Brugler, The Athletic)

Where Fant really impressed as a rookie was after the catch, which was responsible for 58.7% of his receiving yardage. Averaging 8.3 yards after the catch per reception ranked third-best among all rookies with at least 30 catches — better than Deebo Samuel (8.2), Marquise Brown (5.4) and DK Metcalf (4.7).

Elway played on a succession of mediocre teams. But he had a penchant for the great moment. As a freshman, he split time with Turk Schonert in a 21-21 tie at No. 1 USC. As a sophomore, he threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns to lead Stanford to a 31-14 upset win at No. 4 Oklahoma. As a senior, Elway threw for 265 yards and two scores in the Cardinal's 43-31 upset of No. 2 Washington. And, in his final game, he took Stanford nearly the length of the field for a field goal to go ahead of California, 20-19, with :04 to play. If not for Elway, the Stanford Band never would have been on the field.

Simmons is at the top of this list because he should be the Broncos' top priority. Elway said keeping Simmons on a long-term deal is their hope, but since the season's end, Simmons not only improved his already impressive resume with a second-team All-Pro honor, but watched his contract floor rise significantly.

But on the first play from scrimmage in the extra period, Tebow hit Demaryius Thomas on a perfect strike, and Thomas did the rest on an 80-yard touchdown, capping the shortest overtime in playoff history. I remember my wife standing there in front of the TV, dazed, as she dropped a water bottle. She couldn't believe what she'd just seen. None of us could.
