Broncos Agree to Terms with Talib

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --One day into the 2014 league year, the Broncos have added two Pro Bowlers.

The Broncos agreed to terms with their second 2014 Pro Bowler of the day with the announcement that cornerback Aqib Talib would sign a six-year contract with the team.

Earlier in the day, Executive Vice Presicent of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway announced that the team had agreed to terms with safety T.J. Ward.

Talib made his first career Pro Bowl last season after finishing with 44 tackles to go with four interceptions, 13 passes defensed and one forced fumble for New England.

For his career, Talib has totaled 272 tackles with 23 interceptions and 73 passes defensed. He has returned four of those interceptions for touchdowns. He has also forced two fumbles and recovered three others in his 77 career games.

The seventh-year veteran has recorded multiple interceptions in each of his six NFL seasons. His 23 interceptions rank sixth in the NFL since he entered the league in 2008.

Talib was originally drafed by Tampa Bay with the 20th pick in the first round of the 2008 draft. Click here to view photos of Talib's first six NFL seasons.
