We've got the Jaguars this week, and one thing that's obvious on tape right away is they play with a lot of heart. Despite their record, people keep looking at their record and saying all this stuff about the game – that team, they play with a lot of heart. They fly to the football and they've got some great players on that side of the defense.
I had experience with that in college, people look at the records and that doesn't represent the team that shows up on the field. Especially here in the NFL, even being a rookie, I can totally understand that. Records obviously mean stuff, but once you're going up against an opponent, you can't worry about their record and overlook them. That's when you'll always fall short.
They have some great players over there on defense. They play fast, man. You can tell that they play with heart and play with a lot of speed. For us, it's just like I always say, do what we do. Go in and execute. We had a great week of preparation, so we're feeling pretty confident.
As the running game continues to get involved in the offense, it's a lot of fun. Me, right now, I'm most definitely learning from the vets. Soaking in as much as possible because, just like every other player, you're one play away. For me, I just keep telling myself, "Make sure I'm ready when the time comes."
One exciting aspect of this week is seeing Champ back on the field. I saw he's probable, and I'm excited to see him in live action. It's going to be great. I'm really going to pay attention now to him out there doing some great things. He's just a leader, man. It's great just to have him on the field.
Keeping it quick today. Catch you next week.
