Peyton Manning sealed the NFL's single-season passing record on his last throw of the regular season, a 5-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas, as the Broncos rolled. Manning's performance allowed him to surpass Drew Brees' previous standard by one yard, and led the Broncos to a 31-0 halftime lead that permitted them to coast home to the win and a second consecutive 13-3 finish. The Broncos' output also allowed them to set the league's single-season scoring record; they finished the year with 606 points, 17 better than the 2007 Patriots. The game marked the first extended action for 2012 second-round pick Brock Osweiler; working with an offense that mixed first and second-stringers, he led the Broncos to a second-half field goal.

NOTING THE GAME:

• The Broncos will look to extend their winning streak at Oakland to four games, matching the four-year streak from 2003-06 for the club's longest in the East Bay. The Broncos have won nine of their last 11 in Oakland. In recent times, the Broncos have been considerably more successful there than at home in the series; the Broncos are just 7-6 against the Raiders at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
• Denver is 14-5 in Oakland since the Raiders returned there after 13 seasons in Los Angeles. The Raiders opened the series by winning 11 of the first 12 games between the teams played in Oakland. Since then, the Broncos are 22-20 in road games in the series.
• John Fox is undefeated as a head coach in Oakland (4-0).
• This will be the first season since 2010 in which neither Broncos-Raiders game will be nationally televised in prime time. These clubs have played five prime-time games in the last eight seasons.
• Fourteen of the last 15 Broncos-Raiders games in Oakland have been decided by at least two scores, including last year's 20-point Broncos win. The Broncos' last five wins in Oakland have been by an average of 18.8 points, a run that began with a 41-14 regular-season-opening win in 2008. 
• Denver has averaged 30.8 points per game in its last six trips to Oakland.
• Since Rich Gannon started nine consecutive games for the Raiders in this series from 1999-2003, Oakland has cycled through nine different starting quarterbacks in 21 games since Gannon's last start against Denver -- a 31-10 Broncos win on Sept. 22, 2003. That number will become 10 in this game. Last year, Terrelle Pryor started both games against the Broncos; he is now a Seattle Seahawk. Since Gannon's last start against the Broncos, Denver has started five quarterbacks in the series: Jake Plummer, Jay Cutler, Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning.
• This is the middle third of the Broncos' three-week road swing, their first collection of three consecutive away contests since Weeks 13-15 of the 2010 season. The Broncos lost all of those games, including the final leg at Oakland, 39-23.
