Michael Kalousek is in his ninth season with the Broncos in 2022 and operates as the team's Vice President of Finance. He was originally hired as Manager of Financial Analysis in June 2014.
With more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, Kalousek is responsible for all aspects of the finance department's operations, including financial reporting, internal controls, payroll, budgeting, cash management and overall strategic planning to improve cash flows.
During his time with the Broncos, Kalousek has improved all financial reporting and budgeting systems. He also has performed several deep dives into different aspects of the business and team (concessions, merchandise, credit card agreements, janitorial, player cash spending, tax compliance and premium seating) to enhance organizational cash flows.Â
Kalousek started his career in auditing for GHP Horwath in Denver, a local public accounting firm (now Crowe). He earned his CPA during his seven years at GHP Horwath, where he performed audits locally and internationally, including living in New Zealand for six months.
Kalousek serves on Metropolitan State University's Accounting Advisory board to assist the department head in keeping curriculums current to evolving work environments. This board also assists the larger College of Business in evaluating current issues facing the school.
He earned his Bachelor of Science of Accounting from Metro State in 2007. Born and raised in Westminster, Colo., Kalousek is married and has two kids. In his spare time, he enjoys being outside in the yard, hiking and climbing.
