What are the Broncos eating this Thanksgiving?
In preparation for Thanksgiving, we asked the Broncos what their favorite dish was. Some had a particular dish, while others just pretty much want it all, which is understandable.
"It depends. I've just got to have stuffing and the cranberry sauce and you've got to have turkey on Thanksgiving. Got to be fried. When you've got the fried turkey, you've got those little fried parts in there. I like smoked turkey, too!"
"My mom always made this really good sweet potato casserole that was awesome."
"I would probably say my favorite plate would probably be some nice ham, with homemade macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and probably green beans. Pretty much everything."
"It's difficult. Everything."Gazes into the distance"But like, mac and cheese — like, the real mac and cheese — like cheesy, like when you scoop it, it's stringy. It's sizzling, it's bubbling … Yams … Greens ... Fried turkey with some dressing and cranberry sauce … Sweet potato pie ... Banana pudding." Â
"I have so many, but there's a pea casserole that my grandmother made that's insane. It's got water chestnuts in it, little chunks of bread that's been like buttered and toasted and then cream of mushroom and stuff like that. It's really good."
McManus: "I'm a real simple guy."Britton Colquitt: "Green bean casserole, right there!"McManus: "I do like green bean casserole, but probably turkey with mashed potatoes on it is probably the best."Colquitt: "Little bit of cranberry?"McManus: "Not cranberry, but a little bit of chicken gravy on it."
"That's easy: dressing. My grandma just makes it the best. I don't eat anybody else's dressing, but my grandma's. My grandma's got to ship her dressing to me and that's what she'll be doing this Thursday!"
"I need a fried Cajun turkey. It's a recipe my mom picked up and it kind of makes the turkey juicier, I guess. And some kind of pie — pecan pie."
"I love ham. We always have ham and turkey. My wife always makes pecan pie. I love that, it's my favorite dessert."
