A Look Back: vs. Colts, 2015
A look back at the Broncos' last game against the Colts in 2015.

After reeling off seven straight wins to start the season, the Broncos ran into a tough road game against the Colts, who knocked Denver out of the playoffs in 2015. Running back C.J. Anderson started off with three rushes for 13 yards, but after falling behind by double digits, the Broncos did not have the same flexibility to run the ball.

The Broncos defense punished Colts QB Andrew Luck often, compiling 11 quarterback hits but only one sack. Luck frustrated the physical defense with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Demaryius Thomas finished with 50 receiving yards on five receptions.

Punt returner Omar Bolden saved the Broncos from a scoreless first half when he returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown as time expired before halftime.

In the game when he aggravated multiple injuries, Peyton Manning almost led a huge comeback with 281 yards on 21-of-36 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

A 64-yard touchdown reception by Emmanuel Sanders brought the Broncos within three points of Indianapolis in the third quarter. A Brandon McManus field goal would then tie the game.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw got the Colts ahead once again, jumping through the Broncos secondary to cross the goal line on an 8-yard pass from Luck.

Luck played through a lacerated kidney that he suffered against the Broncos.

TE Owen Daniels scored a touchdown to tie the game with about nine minutes remaining in the game.

Adam Vinatieri kicked a 55-yard field goal to put the Colts ahead, and an interception from Manning would return the ball to Indianapolis with six minutes left. The defense could not force the Colts to punt or turn over the ball and Indianapolis ran out the clock.
