A look back: Broncos 37, Texans 13 (2013)

On the Broncos' opening drive, they managed to put points on the board first thanks to a Matt Prater 32-yard field goal that was set up by Knowshon Moreno, who broke free for a crucial, 31-yard gain earlier in the drive. Â Â

After the Texans answered with a field goal of their own, the Broncos regained the lead in the second quarter off a 36-yard Demaryius Thomas touchdown from QB Peyton Manning.

Early in the first quarter, Von Miller tore his ACL, sidelining him for the rest of the 2013 season.

Texans' defensive end J.J. Watt did not sack Peyton Manning, but that didn't mean he wasn't effective. After the Texans came within a field goal in the third quarter, the Broncos were driving until Watt drilled Manning on third-and-10, forcing an incomplete pass.

Though they entered with just a three-point lead, the Broncos managed to separate themselves from the Texans in the fourth quarter. This began with a Mike Adams interception on the second play of the fourth quarter off of Texans QB Matt Schaub.

A turnover was all Peyton Manning would need to extend the Broncos' lead with a 20-yard Eric Decker touchdown, tying Tom Brady for most touchdown passes in a season (50).

A muffed punt led to good field position for Manning and Co. as The Sheriff marched the offense down the field, hitting Julius Thomas in the end zone for a record-setting 25-yard touchdown.

The Broncos won the game 37-13 and Peyton Manning finished with 400 yards, four touchdowns, and a new record to his name. The victory also clinched the AFC West title for the Broncos along with home-field advantage.
