First-round pick Paxton Lynch dressed up with a purple theme threaded from his shirt to his pocket square under his dark-gray suit. The plaid tie and pocket square's rich purples and blues highlighted this combination.

Third-round pick Justin Simmons topped a black suit and burgundy shirt with a matching paisley tie.

First-round pick Shane Ray matched colors and mixed patterns with a red gingham shirt, a checked tie and solid red pants. He complemented the look with an off-white jacket.

The third-round pick arrived in Denver in a perfectly tailored plaid suit, diagonal-striped tie and vertically striped shirt.

An elated Roby classed up the drafted with a flashy silver suit with constrast lapels, a patterned shirt and matching bow tie and pocket square.

First-round pick Bradley Roby matched his pants, bow tie and pocket square while complementing them with a blue blazer.

Second-round pick Cody Latimer was decked out in orange for Day 1 as a Bronco.

...but it wasn't just Latimer's hat and shirt that were orange.

In a gingham shirt and matching tie-and-pocket square combination, first-round pick Sylvester Williams leans on a pedestal while waiting for his introductory press conference.

While third-round pick Kayvon Webster dressed more casually, second-round pick Montee Ball wore a suit with a Broncos-themed tie.

On draft night, Miller kept a purple theme in his shirt, tie and pocket square, but he mixed patterns between the tie, checked shirt, solid pocket square and pinstriped suit.

Demaryius Thomas, the Broncos' first pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, arrived in the rain wearing a pinstriped suit in a light-peach shirt and tie.

First-round pick Tim Tebow went with the orange tie, naturally, and a conventional black suit.

Moreno wore a light-blue suit with peak lapels and an orange patterned tie while Ayers' suit had black-trimmed lapels that matched his black tie.

First-round pick Ryan Clady went all-black with his pinstriped three-piece suit and solid-black shirt, but complemented it with a white paisley tie.

These four Broncos went business casual on their first day with Paymah the only one wearing the full suit.

Though single-breasted suits generally have few buttons today, some — like Tatum Bell's five-buttoned jacket in 2004 — were much more adventurous in the early 2000s. The tie patterns also were much more abstract.

Relaxed fit was all the rage in the early 2000s, as we can see here.

The styles ranged from O'Neal's casual leather jacket and mock turtleneck to Gold's narrow-collar suit with a patterned tie.
