ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Last night defensive end DeMarcus Ware became the sixth Broncos player to be named to the NFL Network's The Top 100 Players of 2014, coming in at No. 56.
This is the fourth consecutive year Ware has appeared on the list, which has only existed for four years.
"He's going to give anybody in the league fits," New York Giants fullback Henry Hynoski said during the broadcast. "He's one of the best in the game. There's no way around it. That's something you have to do. You have to prepare for that guy day in and day out."
Other Broncos already named to the list are: wide receiver Wes Welker (No. 73), linebacker Von Miller (No. 76), cornerback Aqib Talib (No. 79), T.J. Ward (No. 82) and Louis Vasquez (No. 97).
Week 3 of last season, Ware became the all-time Cowboys leader in sacks and his 117 career sacks currently rank 18th all-time in league history. He finished his nine years with the Cowboys with four All Pro selections and seven Pro Bowls.
"The guy is just full of greatness," said Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher on the program. "He's one of those special, rare guys."
