Veterans of Colorado: Andrew Adams

adams_1920x1080

Senior Chief Andrew Adams served 21 years in the United States Navy. He is a native out of Greeley, Colorado and remembers growing up watching Broncos Training Camps on the University of Northern Colorado fields.

Andrew enlisted into the Navy in September 1998. During his time in the service Andrew served all over the world, Kadena, Japan, Oman, and Qatar to name a few. He also earned the Meritorious Service Medal. Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and various sea service and unit awards.

Andrew credits hours of trash-talking and boasting about everyone's favorite sports teams as the reason he bonded with so many individuals during his time in the service. While deployed, he flew a Bronco flag everywhere he had served and took every opportunity to watch his Broncos play. Sticking with Navy tradition, he even took his unwashed Broncos mug through 9 years and 4 deployments of his service.

His favorite Broncos memory was during the Super Bowl 1999 season. Due to Boot Camp and other training requirements, he missed watching most of that season. Super Bowl Sunday was his first opportunity to watch a game, however, he was standing watch during the game. Andrew remembers roving the barracks, with lots of round to the lounge with a TV, just to catch glimpses of that Super Bowl victory!

The Denver Broncos Organization salutes you, Andrew Adams. Thank you for your dedicated service to our country!
