ENGLEWOOD, Colo. –Construction on an indoor fieldhouse at the Broncos' Dove Valley headquarters will eventually lead to a better experience for fans to view training camp practices in the future.
But with work on the new facility still ongoing, the Broncos won't be able to host open practices at Dove Valley during this season's training camp.
"While we are disappointed in being unable to host fans at our facility during training camp this summer, we look forward to accommodating them for multiple practices at Sports Authority Field at Mile High," Broncos President Joe Ellis said. "The safety and comfort of our fans are top priorities, and unfortunately the construction of the new indoor practice field as well as the renovations to our existing building present a number of safety and logistical issues."
In order to allow fans an opportunity to view practices this summer, the team will hold three open sessions at Sports Authority Field at Mile High with free parking and admission.
The three practices at Sports Authority Field for fans will take place on Sunday, July 27, Wednesday, July 30, and Saturday, Aug. 2. The practice on Saturday, Aug. 2, will be the Broncos' fourth annual Summer Scrimmage and features expanded programming and activities for fans to enjoy.
Full details on practice times and specific activities surrounding the stadium practices will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
Once completed, the fan experience for training camps at Dove Valley will be greatly improved with better parking, viewing and restroom facilities.
"The improvements made to our facility will be spectacular and significantly enhance the fan experience for training camps at Dove Valley for years to come," Ellis said.
