Happy Thursday, #BroncosCountry –
We hope you're enjoying your day and looking forward to this weekend's Steelers-Broncos matchup as much as we are. While you're patiently waiting, here are some things to catch up on, starting with this Sunday:
1. Matchup for the ages?
Consider this little factoid courtesy of ESPN:
4 -- The number of 25-plus-yard completions the Denver Broncos have given up this season.
23 -- The number of 25-plus-yard downfield passes the Pittsburgh Steelers have completed this season.
Yep. This Sunday will pit the No. 1 defense against the No. 2 offense in the NFL. The No. 1 pass defense against the No. 5 passing team. The league's top shutdown-corners against one of the best deep-threat quarterbacks.
Should be fun, right?
The Broncos reporter for ESPN, Jeff Legwold and his colleague in Pittsburgh, Jeremy Fowler, broke down the upcoming matchup and what each team should expect, including quarterback Ben Roethlisberger against the bruising Broncos defense. Read it all here.
2. Throwback Thursday
Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders posted a very fitting '#TBT' on Thursday showcasing the day he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010. This Sunday will be the first time in two years that Sanders will be on the same field as his former yellow and black teammates.
