DENVER — Running back Phillip Lindsay exited during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Chiefs and is being evaluated for a concussion.
Lindsay suffered the injury on a 5-yard carry late in the first half as he absorbed a helmet-to-helmet hit from Daniel Sorensen.
The third-year player was able to leave the field under his own power, and he was evaluated in the team's sideline medical tent. He then went to the locker room before halftime.
Lindsay had 79 yards on nine carries when he exited the game.
UPDATE: The Broncos ruled out Lindsay, NT Mike Purcell (foot) and outside linebacker Derrek Tuszka.
