What was the biggest thing you took away from the 2011 season?
"The camaraderie, just the all-in-all feeling of being around a group of guys that want to win and that are winners. The way they approach the game, they just had a different mindset this year. Guys came in this year with a mindset of just winning and just doing their job of getting stuff done. It was a great year."
Did you feel like this year's team was the most close-knit NFL team you've been a part of?
"I believe so. If you walk around the locker room, when you look, you see guys have built good relationships. All of our D-linemen, our guys are always together. You see the O-line and how vice versa, we're always mixing groups and hanging out with each other. It's really become a home-style locker room to where everybody inside is family. It's a great feeling."
How much does that close-knit locker room come from Head Coach John Fox?
"It starts from the top. With him being as charismatic as he is and open. It makes it even easier. The environment is more relaxed and calm. Him being that way and his personality fits with us. As you see in the locker room, it goes all the way down to the locker room."
What are your plans for the offeason?
"I plan to come here and do some workouts. But I also have a football camp in Texas. Then I'll be working a little bit with my high school coach with some positions drills but I'll be back and forth."
How did your football camp in Texas come about?
"That camp, ATD camp, is Attention to Detail. Me and a former high school friend and teammate came up with the idea to bring high school kids the proper coaches, players, from the NFL, college and try to give the high school kids a head start into going into college or even going into their next year in high school, and just trying to get them things to look at that we look at that they didn't know too much about. Just running them through drills and just giving them that one-on-one time that they need with professional athletes and just giving them that motivation and let them know the true values of life."
