Why did you choose the Broncos?**
In my family, we are die-hard Denver Broncos fans. My family is originally from South Africa and we moved here when I was two years old. It was a very hard transition for my parents. My dad connected to football because it was similar to rugby and football kind of helped us feel American. Football is really close to home because, for us, it symbolizes moving here and, for me, growing up here. I just wanted to be a part of the team that made me feel like Colorado is home.
What's something that people may not know about you?
I'm a really big grammar nerd. I love grammar. In fact, I tweeted the other day and said "@DBC_KatieM and *I *are at…" and immediately after I did it I went into the hospital for our community event and the whole time I didn't have service. I was freaking out thinking, "Oh my goodness! I said 'and I' and it's supposed to be 'and me'!" I also eat kiwi's whole… I did not know that was at all weird by the way. Someone told me not too long ago that you're supposed to scoop it out.
What's your favorite holiday?4th of July.
What's your favorite Disney movie? The Jungle Book, hands down.
Tell us something you can't live without? Sour Patch Kids.
What is your favorite type of music? Well, my favorite playlist is Spotify's "Today's Top Hits"
What is your favorite vacation spot? Anywhere there's a beach.
What actress would play you in a movie? I would say Anna Ferris, even though she's blonde – she's so goofy and funny. Just give her dark hair.
What exotic pet would you like to have? I had a snapping turtle in college. I would get another one.
What is the best costume you've ever worn? I dressed up as The Riddler from Batman but the Jim Carey one. It was a green leotard with black question marks all over.
First concert you ever went to see? Backstreet Boys. My dad sat with me, read the newspaper and wore earplugs the entire time.
