ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos are set to play on some big stages under the bright lights.
Denver is scheduled to play four prime-time matchups during its 2025 season, including a pair of prime-time home games.
The Broncos' initial prime-time game will pit them against the Cincinnati Bengals on "Monday Night Football" at Empower Field at Mile High. The Week 4 matchup will represent a rematch of last season's overtime thriller in Cincinnati highlighted by a last-second Marvin Mims Jr. touchdown grab to send the game to overtime.
Denver has won two consecutive "Monday Night Football" games, including last year's 41-32 win over the Browns that included a pair of defensive touchdowns and a 93-yard pass from Bo Nix to Mims. The Broncos have played on "Monday Night Football" in 33 of the last 34 seasons.
The Broncos will then play the first of two "Thursday Night Football" matchups as they host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10 on Nov. 6. The new-look Raiders feature Pete Carroll as the team's head coach and Geno Smith at quarterback. The Broncos last faced Carroll to open the season in 2022, while Denver has faced Smith in two of the last three years.
Denver posted a 1-1 record on "Thursday Night Football" in 2024, and the Broncos have played three consecutive and five of their last six "Thursday Night Football" games on the road. The Broncos' last "Thursday Night Football" home game came in 2022, while the team's most recent home win on "Thursday Night Football" came in 2014. Denver last played the Raiders in prime time to open the 2019 season.
The Broncos head on the road for their final two slated prime-time games, beginning with a trip to the nation's capital to face Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders on "Sunday Night Football." Daniels earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2024, while Nix led all rookies in touchdowns and passing yards.
Denver and Washington, which both made the playoffs in 2024, last played in prime time against each other in 1992. The Broncos had played three consecutive "Sunday Night Football" games at home — winning two of those contests — and last played on "Sunday Night Football" on the road in 2021. Denver's last "Sunday Night Football" road win came in Detroit in 2015.
The Broncos' final slated prime-time game will allow Broncos Country to ring in the holidays, as the team travels to Kansas City for a Christmas Day showdown with the Chiefs. The "Thursday Night Football" matchup caps a trio of NFL games on Christmas. Denver nearly knocked off the undefeated Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in 2024, and the Broncos have won two of the last three games between the division rivals. Denver last faced the Chiefs on "Thursday Night Football" in 2023, and the Broncos have played more prime-time games against the Chiefs than any other opponent.
While Denver's Week 6 matchup in London against the New York Jets does not officially qualify as a prime-time game, it will offer the Broncos another chance to play in a standalone window.
The NFL's flexible scheduling rules could also lead to the Broncos playing additional prime-time games in 2025.
