INDIANAPOLIS --Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway had nothing but good news on the injury front for the Broncos Friday.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, Elway said that tackle Ryan Clady's rehab is going well.
"Ryan's good. I saw him the other day," Elway said. "He finally got all of the hardware out of his foot and he's really on the mend now."
On the other side of the ball, linebacker Von Miller's recovery from a torn ACL is going smoothly as well.
"We don't hear a whole lot about it other than that he's been very responsive to everything," Elway said. "Then going through treatment and everything, he's been doing good."
One player who isn't recovering from an injury but is expected to undergo a medical exam is quarterback Peyton Manning.
"He's coming in the first week of March," Elway said. "That should be fine."
Head Coach John Fox on Thursday said he didn't know how much longer Manning would play, but he didn't seem to have any immediate concerns.
"I think he had a very, very productive ā maybe the most productive ā season in history a year ago," Fox said. "I would say it looks pretty good for him moving forward."
As the Broncos use the Combine to prepare for the 2014 NFL Draft, they already know they'll be gaining a talented crop for the 2014 season with all the players recovering from injuries.
"Yeah, it's nice to get all those guys back," Elway said. "It was fun putting the magnets back up on the board and taking them off IR and putting them back on the board. All of a sudden the team looked a lot better after we got those magnets back where they should (be).
"As I said, this is a fun time of year, in that we have a chance to get better."
