ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Tackle Ja'Wuan James (knee) will have to convince Head Coach Vic Fangio and Offensive Line Coach Mike Munchak that he is ready to play Sunday in Indianapolis, Fangio said Thursday.
James, who practiced fully for the second consecutive day on Thursday, has not played since Week 1. And though he is medically cleared, Fangio said he wasn't sure "if he's football cleared to play."
Fangio said before Thursday's practice that the team planned to up James' activity that day.
"Yesterday was his first real day of practice since he's been hurt, so obviously he's got some rust to knock off and get used to football movements," Fangio said.
Fangio said a rotation at tackle between James, Garett Bolles and Elijah Wilkinson has not yet been decided and that it depends on "how James looks and feels."
Cornerback Bryce Callahan (foot) and safety Will Parks (hand) remained out of practice.
