C.J. Anderson had told his grandmother, Barbara Gaddies, that he'd give her a new car and a new house when he got to the NFL, and on Saturday he fulfilled the first half of that promise.
Anderson's spoken previously about the impact and importance of the upbringing his mother and grandmother gave him, and he showed his appreciation for all his grandmother did for him by using some of his performance-based bonus to buy her a new car.
"I always told her that when I got to the NFL that I was going to buy her a new car and new house," Anderson told Mike Klis of the Denver Post. "She's done so much for me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for her."
For all the work that Anderson put in and all the success he saw come out of that, for him to be where he is, Gaddies' influence is enormous for C.J.
