CHICAGO – The Broncos kicked off Day 3 of the 2016 NFL Draft by selecting Utah running back Devontae Booker with the 136th overall pick in the fourth round.
The two-time All-Pac 12 selection rushed for 2,773 yards and 21 touchdowns in 23 career games at Utah. Booker holds a school record for career rushing average (120.6 yards per game). He suffered a torn meniscus last season.
Booker will join a Broncos backfield led by C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman. The duo combined for 1,583 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season.
Denver currently has two picks in the upcoming fifth round (Nos. 144 and 157 overall).
