ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have made a roster move on defense.

Denver promoted outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Wednesday.

The Broncos placed right tackle Mike McGlinchey on injured reserve in a corresponding move. McGlinchey will be required to miss at least four games, which would make him eligible to return in Week 7 against the Saints.

Denver also signed outside linebacker Andrew Farmer to the practice squad.

Tillman was signed by Denver in June of 2024 and has spent the beginning of this season on the Broncos' practice squad. In the 2024 preseason, Tillman recorded 7 tackles and a sack in three games.

Tillman previously played three seasons with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League and United Football League, recording 92 tackles (51 solo) and 8.5 sacks from 2022-24. Tillman appeared in 48 games during his four-year college career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was a three-time All-PSAC West selection.

McGlinchey played 100 percent of Denver's offensive snaps in Week 1 against Seattle. He suffered an injury during the fourth quarter of Denver's home opener against the Steelers. Head Coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that Alex Palczewski would replace McGlinchey in the Broncos' starting lineup.

Farmer signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chargers in 2023, and he appeared in eight games for Los Angeles. He recorded three tackles as he played 12 percent of the defensive snaps and 23 percent of the special teams snaps in the games in which he appeared, according to Pro Football Reference.
