DENVER— The Denver Broncos today, along with partners Children's Hospital Colorado, UCHealth and 24 Hour Fitness, launch the inaugural Broncos Health & Wellness 45-Day Fitness Challenge from Oct. 12-Nov. 25.
The program is a part of the team's Health & Wellness platform. The Broncos want to encourage fans to live a healthy lifestyle through the successful completion of various exercise and dietary related daily fitness-themed tasks.
Each week of the challenge, which is based on the honor system, begins at 12 a.m. MDT on Monday and ends at 11:59 p.m. MDT on the succeeding Sunday.
Upon a participant successfully completing a daily goal or "extra points" challenge, the participant shall be awarded "points", which will be compiled on a weekly basis and accumulate over the course of the contest period.
The daily goals for the challenge are as follows (5 points each):
- Complete 20-min of physical activity
- Eat five servings (1/2 cup) of fruit and/or vegetables
- Drink eight glasses (8 oz. serving) of water
- Extra Points Broncos-themed Fitness Challenges include various tasks that will be distributed via daily e-mail to all participants and available at DenverBroncos.com/fitnesschallenge.
All participants who successfully earn at least five points per week are eligible to win one weekly prize and the grand prize of a trip for two to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii on Jan. 16, 2016. Weekly prizes include autographed player jerseys and helmets, 24 Hour Fitness memberships, Sports Authority gift cards, Bose headphones and several other prizes.
