ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --The Broncos began the process of signing their draft picks by inking their deal with seventh-round pick Riley Dixon on Wednesday morning.

Dixon and all of the other draft picks will sign four-year contracts, as is the current standard. When first-round pick Paxton Lynch eventually signs his deal, the team will have an option for a fifth year in 2020 at a rate set by his standing in the draft.

This is the third time in the last four years in which the Broncos have commenced their draft-pick signings just after rookie minicamp. In 2013, the signings began on May 10; two years later, they began May 13, when Darius Kilgo and Max Garcia signed their deals.

The exception to the recent trend was in 2014, when all six of their picks signed their contracts between June 2 and June 10.
