ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed defensive end Zach Thompson to fill their 10th and final practice squad opening.
Thompson, who played college football for Wake Forest, most recently played for the New York Jets. The 6'5" rookie played in three games this preseason, racking up five total tackles in two wins and one loss, including three in New York's final preseason game against the Eagles.
In college, he played in 44 games, 40 of which he started, and totaled 151 tackles (73 solo), 11 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
He will wear jersey number 72.
He joins nine others on the Broncos practice squad, which now is completed as follows:
